What The Hell Is That?

I have been receiving comments that are undecipherable, consisting of unprintable characters. For example, "我喜歡........................................ ". It could be that my prophylactic software on my computer has an issue with it. The problem is, as long as I don't know what the hell this is, I will not let it pass. It could be that I am dismissing benign comments because of the unknown nature.

Does anyone have a clue to its nature?

I would stick with the assumption that they are spam -- you write an English language blog and (for me at least) they show up as Chinese characters. My guess is it's a spambot or someone trying to get their link out there and hoping that you're just blindly posting comments.

I get those all the time. I always thought it was some guy replying to my posts in Chinese. Last time I almost responded with "please translate this!" But I figured he would just reply back in Chinese again.....

I get them too. If I can copy and paste them into babelfish I do that and then allow them. Sometimes the translations make me laugh but I can usually get the drift of what they are trying to say. If I can't copy and paste then they get deleted.

An update on this. Just lately when I translate them they are Chinese proverbs. They are whimsical and not at all related to my blog so I have to wonder what the person posting them is like....apart from kinky as I have seen them on other blogs of note.
